Reclaiming a Lost Pet
Lost a pet? Due to the high number of animals that enter our facilities every day we recommend that owners visit the Trenton Center in person to look for their lost pet. Our staff will not be able to find your lost pet over the phone or by email or Facebook message.
Residents Seeking to Reclaim a Pet:

We accept Driver’s license, US or International passport, Government or other official photo identification, and Mexican Consulate Cards.Must provide proof of ownership, including:
Copy of dog registration/license.
Rabies vaccination certificate from a licensed veterinarian.
Veterinarian invoices and/or vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian.
Pedigree registries.
Owners can use photographs/video as proof of ownership, but please be patient as this method might require more than one picture and/or meeting with Admitting Manager.
We do require this information before releasing any pet. This is for your safety as well as ours to protect getting pets returned to their rightful owner.
Pet Reclaiming Fees
Owners will be provided documentation regarding fees, tests, vaccinations, and wellness services provided. These fees must be paid in full before release of a pet, fees will be paid in the form of cash, debit or credit card. We do not accept $20 dollar bills and ask that owner be prepared to pay in exact change.
Pending Citations
If pet was picked up by animal control you may have a citation from the city, in the event there is a citation on your pet you will be required to obtain the citation from animal control prior to the releasing of your pet.
